Goodbye Division 2

• Pittsburgh ECK has been bumped up to Division 1 Xball.
• The team looks forward to competing in D1 and is excited to take on the new challenges that this higher level of competition will bring.

The kickoff of the 2009 season

• As the off season comes to an end, Pittsburgh ECK has begun preparing for the new season of PSP tournaments.
• The first set of practices have been scheduled to prepare for the first tournament of the year, the Phoenix Open on February 19 - February 22.

ECK registers for Open X-ball Tournament at All American Paintball Park

• Pittsburgh ECK has registered to play in the September 14th open Xball tournament at the AAPP in Greensburg PA
• The team is expected to put on a strong performance at the tournament where they will compete against other divisional Xball teams from the east coast

Worldcup Approaches, ECK prepares with high hopes for strong performance

• As the PSP World Cup approaches, Pittsburgh ECK is scheduling it's practices to prepare for the big event
• The team is currently running developmental drills in preperation for the release of the 2008 World Cup field layout
• When the layout arrives the team plans on holding practice and full scrimmages on its private X-ball field in Hopewell PA

ECK Wins MXL!

• Pittsburgh ECK has won the MXL tournament series which travels between New Jersey and New York. The team played all 5 events without ever loosing a game. The award ceremony took place at the 5th event in Sodus New York on August 30th where the team was given medals and had to pose for a photo session.
• The team was awarded a spot in the AXBL for next year as well as a skid of paint to use at next years tournament series. Event promoters said that this was one of the strongest performances by a paintball team that they had ever seen
• Pittsburgh ECK is expected to play in the AXBL series next year and remain a strong competitor.

New players added to ECK roster

• Two new players have been added to the Pittsburgh ECK roster. Steve Feeney and Drew Hire have come aboard to help ECK continue its run for a top spot in the PSP national tournament series

Phoenix Open

Phoenix Open has come and gone. We now have the first event out of the way and under our belts. On day one of play we won both matches of the day by a couple point lead. Day two we finally got a battle against TPA Revolution, a personal team friend who we practice all the time. The match was tied at 6 to 6 and TPA was able to pull it off for the win. After Friday going one win and one lose we were able to clinch a spot to play on Saturday. The first game of the day was against Zero Tolerance. During the game we controlled the lead the whole time. With two minutes on the clock and the score being 6 to 5.

We ended up getting a major penalty giving them the swing point and still one minute on the clock. From there one more game point was played were we were up 5 players against their remaining 2 players and manage to rack up another major penalty handing them the game. Overall ECK took 5th place and is training hard for MAO.
